Within the framework of cooperation between the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) and the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center (RRAC), on May 26 ARCS First Aid and Disaster Response Teams participated in the "Emergency Response to Earthquake Consequences" organized for the Ministry of Emergency Situations firefighters.
The aim of the exercise was to boost the preparedness of the fire-rescuers, to develop the organizational and practical parts of the joint rescue efforts, to demonstrate the capacity of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center.
Nikolay Grechushkin, Deputy Minister of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Natural Disasters of the Russian Federation, Arkady Balyan, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Yeghiazaryan, Secretary General of the ARCS, and the leadership of the RRAC were present at the training.
