On April 9, ARCS ‘’HIV prevention in Armenia” program Volunteers organized a training of “Healthy Eating” within the framework of “Healthy Lifestyle; Non-communicable Diseases prevention and control” program for Day Care Center of Ararat Patriarchal diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church youth. Among the participants, there were the Bishop of Day Care Center Ter Grigor Grigoryan, psychologist and parents.
According to the training, “Unhealthy Eating” is presented to be one of the four main risk factors. Based on the proven evidence, one’s ill-health condition by 50% depends on the four factors of Healthy Lifestyle, mainly Healthy Eating. One of the issues raised at the training was the Healthy eating components (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, mineral salts) and quantities to be used. The importance of the balanced eating during the whole day was highlighted.
Meanwhile, the program Volunteers (Gohar Hakobyan, Gohar Torosyan and Seda Abgaryan) were treating participants with fruits and explaining them the usefulness of it, the participants were enjoying the game of Healthy Lifestyle.
The training was wrapped-up with an interactive Q&A part.
