We are seeking a qualified and experienced health professional to lead and supervise the medical aspects of home care services across the following operational areas:
- Yerevan
- Kotayk Region (Abovyan, Hrazdan)
- Shirak Region (Gyumri)
- Vayots Dzor Region (Yeghegnadzor)
- Lori Region (Vanadzor)
The Head Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of nursing care, providing professional guidance to home helpers, and ensuring that services are delivered in alignment with medical standards and the humanitarian values of the Armenian Red Cross Society.
Job Responsibilities
Management
- Management of the Community Integrated Home Care Service systems, development and implementation of processes, including staff and volunteer work.
- Compilation and maintenance of the beneficiary database.
- Inventory and provision of care supplies and equipment to the staff in cooperation with ARCS office.
- Preparation and analysis of monthly reports on the activities of home care centers.
- Daily monitoring of the hygienic and epidemiological conditions in the home care centers.
- Weekly staff meetings with home care teams, case discussions, and development and implementation of corresponding work schedules.
Nursing Activity
- Initial and periodic assessment of individual nursing needs.
- Collaboration with family doctors and nurses to plan and develop individual care plans.
- Planning and monitoring of daily home care and assistance for caregivers.
- Provision of home care in special situations.
- Regular evaluation of outcomes of care activities implemented with caregivers.
- Direct supervision of nurses in care centers.
- Direct supervision of care specialists in care centers.
- Regular evaluation of professional
- knowledge and skills of nurses and care specialists, and development and implementation of improvement plans.
Collaboration
- Establishment and maintenance of working relationships with all relevant community institutions.
- Raising awareness about services within the framework of Community Integrated Home Care and Active Ageing model.
Other Responsibilities
- Execution of special tasks assigned by program managers and supervisors.
- Participation in trainings, workshops, meetings, and other events organized within the program.
- Sharing of acquired knowledge with work teams.
- Active participation in the development of materials related to health and social care issues.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Required Skills
- Medical vocational education with at least 3 years of experience.
- Experience in professional management in the healthcare field (considered an advantage).
- Availability of a continuous professional development certificate.
- Excellent leadership, teamwork, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and reorganize work in emergency situations.
- Fluent in spoken and written Armenian.
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage.
- Having a driving license is an advantage.
