From September 24 to 30, during the humanitarian response carried out by the Armenian Red Cross Society at the reception posts for displaced persons at the Kornidzor humanitarian center, Goris drama theater, the 6th school of Syunik region, and the House of Culture of Vayk of Vayots Dzor:
About 445 staff members and volunteers were involved in the works.

The disaster response, first aid teams and volunteers of the Armenian Red Cross Society also joined the work of the reception posts for displaced people opened in Vayk of Vayots Dzor.
ARCS trained volunteers support in registration, information provision and First aid, first psychological and psycho-social support is being provided by psychologists and rapid response teams, quick assistance to people in transit, including energy bars, water, dry ration packs are also provided.
Armenian Red Cross Society Tracing Service is implementing Restoring Family links functions, including data registration and collection, giving an opportunity to contact with family members (by mobile phones).
On September 28, the Armenian Red Cross Society set up a tent in Goris, where people waiting for shelter will have the opportunity to change clothes, feed and change children, rest, etc. Composting toilets are placed in the area.
Safe spaces for children are activated in both regions, where ARCS volunteers play with them.

Starting from 24 September, Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS), with close cooperation with relevant responsible bodies, local self-governance bodies and the International Committee of the Red Cross, supports the operation of reception posts in Goris state theatre and Kornidzor Humanitarian Center, Syunik Region, established for the displaced population.

More than 70 members of ARCS HQ, Syunik regional and Goris community branches are involved in response operation.
The Armenian Red Cross Society, in close cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), has been mobilizing human, material and financial resources since September 19 to provide humanitarian support to displaced people.
ARCS, in the frames of agreement with USAid and the IFRC, has a capacity to provide certain non-food items and cash assistance needs to 3000 persons. ARCS has also in place pre - arranged framework agreements with UNHCR and UNICEF, which are activated in case of emergency and give an opportunity to support affected population with Cash assistance provision, food and NFI assistance, shelter support, Child protection and Case Management, PSS, Protection and Monitoring, establishment of child friendly spaces, etc.
The Armenian Red Cross Society will conduct a rapid needs assessment, followed by an in-depth and comprehensive needs assessment in collaboration with the ICRC. Based on the results, international and local resource mobilization will be carried out to implement medium and long-term support programs.
