May is traditionally considered the month of the Red Cross, as the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is celebrated on May 8.
This year, May was also very active, as awareness campaigns were carried out in almost all regions, promoting vaccinations against infections and viruses, healthy lifestyles, and, of course, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
On May 8-20, awareness activities and actions were carried out by the volunteers of the Armavir and Lori regional branches of the ARCS, and on May 21, the volunteers of the Tavush regional branch, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the World Food Program, the World Health Organization, local governments, and other international structures, participated in the "Prime Minister's Cup" team marathon for schoolchildren within the "Healthy Lifestyle" program implemented in all regions of the Republic of Armenia, holding march and awareness campaign about healthy lifestyle. In the thematic booths, the necessity and benefits of a healthy diet, a physically active life, and useful habits for the whole life were presented.
