    Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS), following its humanitarian mission, aims at supporting the most vulnerable, to meet their humanitarian needs and alleviate suffering.  


    In Armavir Region we support:

    • most vulnerable lonely elderly
    • children and youth
    • families of the Missing persons
    • TB patients
    • families in need
    • Covid-19 isolated population

     

     

    Disaster Management

    Response to NK conflict escalation

     

    914 people received AMD 68000. In total 62.152.000 AMD.  

    17,544 humanitarian aid packages were provided, out of which 6,714 hygienic, 10,600 food, 185 stationery and 45 household items.


     

    Population movement 

    Refugee protection and economic integration

     

    • Provision of primary humanitarian and legal aid to asylum seekers and refugees in RA,
    • Income-boosting self-employment support for refugee and displaced families in the form of tools
    • "Metsamor" hotel door, replacement of windows
    • Construction of a playground in Armavir city.

    Lonely elderly, vulnerable families, isolated population, persons with disabilities, Syrian-Armenians, orphanage graduates, beneficiaries of nursing homes, mine victims

     

    1725 packages of food and hygiene items. 


    Educational support to neglected and vulnerable boys and girls in Armenia

    24 teenagers

     Within the framework of the project young people have participated in vocational training such as hairdressing, sewing, car-repair and others. Besides the training courses, regular meetings aiming at integration and capacity building were organized for the beneficiaries by the ARCS volunteers. Beneficiaries were also given food parcels once a quarter.



    Dissemination of Humanitarian principles

    The goal is the dissemination of Humanitarian principles among the population, especially Youth, involve new resources and volunteers, and enlarge the network of the partners. 

    •  Dissemination sessions in the schools and educational institutions of Lori urban and rural communities about Red Cross history and fundamental principles
    • Thematic events, such as games and competitions, etc.
