Goal: The improvement of adherence in medicine taking, meant to increase the treatment effectiveness of TB patients.
Duration: 07.10. 2010 - 30.06.2015
Main objectives:
- Organization of the educational activities for social workers who are working with TB patients to increase the treatment adherence.
- Educational and informative activities implemented by social workers for TB patients.
- Provision of fresh food parcels to MDR TB patients in inpatient phase.
- Provision of food and hygienic parcels to MDR TB patients in ambulatory phase with the purpose of increasing the treatment adherence.
- Provision of juice to MDR TB patients with the purpose to reduce side effects of drugs
- Provision of transportation costs to MDR TB patients or social workers within Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) strategy.
- Provision of transportation costs to Regular TB patients or social workers within Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) strategy.
- Provision of food and hygienic parcels to Regular TB patients with the purpose of increasing the treatment adherence.
- Provision of heating cost for 3.5 winter months to the most vulnerable MDR TB patients.
