HIV prevention in Armenia

Implementation: RA, Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, sphere of public health

Goal: To reduce the vulnerability among youth/students aged 15-23 to HIV

Target groups: Youth/students aged 15-23 years old

Duration: 01.07.2014 – 30.06.2015

Main objectives:

1. Reducing the vulnerability to HIV among young couples from migrants families  and youth/students aged 15-23

•  Formation of safe behavior model among youth aged 15-23/students and young couples from migrant families for HIV prevention
• Decreasing of  stigma and discrimination towards PLWH among youth and migrants

2. Strengthening of  the potential and development of resources of ARCS in the sphere of HIV prevention

•  Development  and strengthening technical opportunities of ARCS in 4 main spheres:

- Program management;

- Volunteer Management;

- Knowledge management & resource mobilization;

- Healthy lifestyle  promotion

•  ARCS volunteer movement  is developing and strengthening
